Beiler writes to Albert Osborn to request that the matter concerning paying for the telescope lens be brought to the attention of Bishop Hurst, and that a meeting of the executive committee be called to resolve the issue. Beiler says if the committee does not authorize payment, he will repay Peate for the lens by himself. If the committee does authorize paying for the lens, Beiler assumes responsibility for raising the funds.
