The bulk of the film consists of scenes of students congregating on and around American University’s campus including signs for a variety of activities such as a memorial service and smoke-in and images of the MPD response including tear gas canisters spewing gas and students washing out each others eyes. Also featured is footage of a formal gathering in the amphitheater with AU President George Williams, various campus administrators, and Professor Adbul Said. Though the film includes interviews with students, the soundtrack is missing so the interviews cannot be heard.

Description: East of the River begins with the tragic death of a young boy named Kelvin Mock, who died in a trash burn in the landfill that preceded Kenilworth Park in North East Washington, DC. The film tells the story of the Kenilworth area from a landfill to a park and provides a space for the residents to share their memories that had a connection to Kenilworth Landfill. The film was created by Amin Elsiwi, Phil Bouknight, and Jeffrey Madison. This film got into three film festivals: DC Independent Film Festival, Bethesda film festival, Community stories film festival that is organized by Docs in Progress. It was also presented at the Humanities Truck Film Festival on April 28, 2023 at American University.

Description: This video shows the funeral service for former Peace Corps Volunteer W. Dennis Grubb, which took place at the Washington National Cathedral on November 16th, 2021. W. Dennis Grubb began serving in the Peace Corps at age 19 in 1961, shortly after the program was launched by then-President John F. Kennedy, Jr. Stills of the Cathedral's ceilings, stone carvings, and stained glass windows are shown throughout the first minutes of the service while an organ plays in the background. The Rev. Canon Jan Naylor Cope, Provost of the National Cathedral, presided over the service. Journalist Maureen Orth, activist and philanthropist Timothy Shriver, Suleiman Vasti, and the Rev. Cope gave eulogies of Mr. Grubb in celebration and remembrance.

Description: Phil Scholl was a member of the Peace Corps India 20A group, stationed in Balusseri, Kerala, India, from 1965 to 1967. India 20A was the name of the 20th group of volunteers that the Peace Corps sent to India in 1965. Members of India 20A were assigned to rural public health centers in the Indian states of Madhya Pradesh and Kerala. While serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer, Phil Scholl shot this film entirely on silent 8mm color film. The film captures the Peace Corps India 20A group experience during their rural public health assignment between 1965 and 1967, and includes significant events such as the group’s arrival in New Delhi and everyday life in the state of Kerala.
